Launching the ALL NEW Liverpool ONE B2C app

The Challenge

Liverpool ONE a shopping, residential, and leisure complex in the heart of Liverpool. Built around the existing streets of Liverpool, the1.65million sq ft contemporary open-air complex is a stylish must-visit for those who love to shop, eat, drink and relax.

Liverpool ONE has over 170 stores, bars and restaurants, an 18-screen cinema, an indoor adventure golf course as well as a Green Flag accredited five-acre park. Spanning across five areas, including Paradise Street, South John Street, Hanover Street and the Leisure Terrace. Stores include high street favourites such as Zara, Urban Outfitters, John Lewis & Partners and so much more.

Mallcomm, our app technology, first made its UK debut in a pioneering project with Liverpool ONE to create an engaged and efficient destination with its retailers and stakeholders.

Branded One View, we launched in July 2015 and since then, it has become instrumental in delivering first class service to its 170 stores.

Today, the centre team uses One View to successfully manage its vast retail community across all departments (incl marketing, operations and security teams), efficiently engaging with over 5,000 people on daily basis,

By the end of 2018, One View had achieved:

Following the success of OneView, Liverpool ONE appointed Toolbox Group to create a fully integrated platform that engages not only retailers and centre teams but also consumers – MyONE was born. Built on the same platform as One View, MyONE is brings together a wider community and cements relationships between the centre and its customers, offering features such as:

The launch

Toolbox Marketing were appointed to create a promotional video to increase awareness of the app’s offerings and encourage downloads. 

Working with the Liverpool ONE retailers and our inhouse video team, we captured the app in use around the scheme; promoting the key features; events, offers and wayfinding. The video was shared via Social Media channels and the Liverpool ONE website to promote the brand new app.
