We are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic permanent Account Director to join Team Pink due to maternity leave.

Job Purpose

As Account Director at Toolbox Marketing, your primary responsibility is to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients while overseeing the successful execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, overseeing multiple accounts. Your role involves working alongside our Account Managers and Account Executives, plus collaborating with various internal teams, including creative, digital, and content.

As Account Director you are responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to get people to our client’s places – shopping centres, retail parks, leisure locations, events, festivals, and more.

You will be an excellent communicator, master of time management, and ensure that all deadlines are met, delivering within budget.  You will be required to juggle multiple tasks for multiple clients from event planning to reporting and much more.  No 2 days are the same.

You should ensure all work undertaken on behalf of Toolbox Marketing is delivered to a high standard.  An integrated and effective approach to all marketing activity and deliverables is required.

Key Responsibilities:  


Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact for all things marketing. Understanding clients’ needs, objectives, and challenges to effectively guide the development of marketing strategies and campaigns.

Account Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of client accounts, including campaign planning, budgeting, and timeline management. Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded by coordinating internal teams and external vendors.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with clients’ business objectives. Identify opportunities for growth and present strategic recommendations to clients to drive business results.

Campaign Management: Lead the execution and implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives, coordinating the efforts of cross-functional teams such as creative, digital, and content. Monitor campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations for optimisation.

Financial Management: Manage account budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness. Track project expenses, review financial reports, and provide accurate forecasts internally.

Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to Account Managers, Account Executives and other team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, using Monday.com to ensure successful project delivery.

Marketing Knowledge: Stay updated on marketing trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing. Share knowledge and insights with clients and internal teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Relevant Experience:

  1. Proven experience working as a Senior Account Manager, Account Director or similar/relevant role, preferably experience of agency life or working with multiple brands.
  2. Knowledge of digital marketing and social media systems and tools such as: Sprout Social, AgoraPulse, WordPress, Google Analytics, Mailchimp or similar software(s).
  3. Excellent communicator who is able to work at all levels both written and verbal.
  4. Experience in using project management tools such as Monday.com

Requirements: 

  • Driving licence and car to easily travel to clients and the remote location of our office.
