Toolbox Marketing named as finalist in the FSB Small Business Awards
Bury St Edmunds’ Toolbox Marketing has been named a finalist for the Community category of the FSB East of England Small Business Awards and is in the running to be named UK Small Business of the Year.
With winners from each category securing a spot at the prestigious UK final and a chance to be crowned the UK Small Business of the Year, it’s an opportunity for widespread recognition for Suffolk based Toolbox Marketing.
The Toolbox team has always put the community first. Throughout 2022 they supported their local community by providing pro-bono design services for local business The Grumpy Goat (a new crowd-funded social club) and community events in the village including Cars on the Green, Bardwell Village Fete and Bardfest.
They also delivered content creation for the East Anglian Beer Festival and The Cross Keys pub in Redgrave, both run by volunteers without marketing budgets or experience.
The team also launched a new website for the local branch of Women’s Aid, as well as providing marketing advice and support to upskill their staff and volunteers.
When it comes to looking after the local community, Toolbox Marketing also commits to supporting the future community by supporting further education, ensuring they support a minimum of 3 students each year from local schools and colleges.
It is also worth noting that in 2021, they carried out a good deed each month. This varied from litter picking in their local village, to celebrating lonely bouquet day and donating various items to important causes.
To count their successes there was…
1 Website built for the local branch of Women’s Aid
2 Social media accounts managed for The Cross Keys community pub
3 Local students upskilled via work experience placements in both design and marketing
4 Bags of items were donated to the local food bank, Gatehouse
5 Local businesses supported annually
6 Old computers were donated to a local school, Stanton Primary
7 Litter picks around the office in Bardwell village
8 Pre-loved teddies donated to Loved Before
9 Bouquets left locally for Lonely Bouquet Day
10 Bags of items donated to Cancer Research UK
11 Hygiene packs donated to Ukraine
37 Hours of studio time provided free of charge for our clients for this year’s One Great Day initiatives, helping to raise over £6,000 for the initiative
100+ Preloved Christmas decorations donated to the Dunelm appeal.
As well as their own time and items donated, Toolbox is dedicated to raising money for important charities. For Breast Cancer Now, Toolbox celebrated Wear It Pink in the office and raised £354.27.
They also walked 11.2 miles for the local hospice St Nicholas and raised an incredible £1,122.
The Toolbox Marketing team, combined, has over 50 years of experience delivering creative and strategic marketing solutions to retail & leisure property places and over 100 years of experience providing marketing services for clients.
