We attended the British BIDS conference
Yesterday we attended the British BIDs conference at the Leadenhall Building in London (aka the cheesegrater) and what a venue that was! The view from landing 42 was amazing and a wonderful setting for a conference.
But aside from the view (and the super fast lift ride!), it was a great event and not just because it was a physical one. The conference was focused on driving recovery and change in BIDS across the UK.
With discussions on economic recovery, sustainability, place management and repurposing our places it was an extremely insightful day.
Our personal favourite presentation of the conference was by Livia Caruso, Director of Public Realm at Hammersmith BID, not only because it was a brilliant example of how to make a ‘space a place’ but because Livia’s passion for making the borough green was so apparent throughout her presentation that it had the whole room inspired and wanting to do more in their community.
Thank you British Bids!
