Halloween at Home TOP TIPS
Halloween is very popular here at Toolbox Marketing HQ… after all it is the perfect excuse to get dressed up and eat plenty of sweets! Of course there are unfortunately some things we have to forego this year, However, in true Toolbox style, we have chosen not to get too bummed out about missing the traditional activities, and to just find an alternative way to celebrate.
So, what do we do instead? Here are a few ideas…

HALLOWEEN HUNT
Take a page out of Easter’s book and hide Halloween treats around your back garden, then let your kids go hunting for it! If you are feeling extra creative write some creepy clues too.

TRICK-OR-TREAT INDOORS
Station members of the family in different rooms around your house, then take it in turns to go around the house and knock on the door to each room to get your treat…. or trick – but remember you have to clean it up afterwards!

COSTUME DINNER PARTY
Dress up in costume on Halloween night and have a spooktacular dinner party at home. Why not have pumpkin shaped pizza, monster burgers or hot dog fingers on the menu.

COSTUME PARADE
One of the best things about Halloween is the costumes, so give everyone the chance to show them off in a parade. This could either be an outdoor one along your street for your neighbours or a virtual parade for friends and family. This may be the first time your child can wear a costume that isn’t buried under a winter coat!

HAUNTED HOUSE
Turn your house into a haunted one! Go totally OTT with the decorations, but this year make sure the indoors is just as BOO-tiful as outside.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Forgo trick-or-treating altogether and have a Halloween movie marathon instead. Maybe even dress as your favorite characters!

FAMILY GAME NIGHT
Why not spend your evening playing Halloween games? From apple bombing to pin the tail on the black cat there are plenty to choose from. You can even play a game of ‘wrap the mummy’ using all that extra toilet paper left over from lockdown!

BUILD A BONFIRE
Bonfires on Halloween are an old Irish tradition. Grab a garden firepit and build your own fire to gather around Halloween night, tell ghost stories and enjoy candy

HOST A VIRTUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY
Gather your friends, family or whatever group you want on a video call and celebrate Halloween together! Check out our Halloween party playlist to get the mood started.

PAINTED PUMPKINS
Why not get creative and paint your pumpkins this year? Then have a pumpkin pageant with your friends and family to vote for the best one.
