The Launch to Leading Belgium Mixed-used Development
Billed as the place to be seen, Quartier Bleu in Hasselt, Belgium, is due to open on 26 March 2020. The dynamic new mixed-use development has been developed over three major architectural atmospheres: the quay, promenade and the neighbourhood.
Spanning a total square footage of 73,820, it is the architectural vision of architect Alfred De Gregorio. The site, purchased 18 years ago by Chateaux Real Estate is being developed jointly with Matexi (experts in sustainable neighbourhood development). It is their first foray into the retail sector, Quartier Bleu has 22,500m² of retail, 3000m² bars and restaurants, 400 apartments and doubles the parking space in Hasselt with 2,000 new spaces.
Following a successful pitch process in November 2019 Toolbox Group were selected due to their extensive expertise in retail and real estate full-service marketing and placemaking. The Toolbox Group marketing team is leading the strategic development and implementation of placemaking, rebranding, website, market positioning, social media and PR, alongside tenant, community and stakeholder engagement.
